Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
A big thank you to Nicola Barclay for working with our children each Friday, gardening and improving the school grounds. It is looking fantastic already!
Don't forget the jubilee celebrations at school tomorrow!
It is non school uniform and children can come to school dressed as a member of the royal family or dressed in
anything red, white and blue!
Our school lunch will be a traditional-style street party eaten outside on the playground; tables will be decorated with union jack bunting and balloons. Our lunch will consist of a selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, vegetable crudities, followed by jam tartlets and butterfly cakes.
Children have been working hard baking today (and will do tomorrow) and a selection of cakes will be on sale at the end of the day so please join us for a treat!
We are very proud of all of our year 2 children for the hard work and resilience demonstrated during this week’s Key Stage 1 SATS.
They have now completed their Secret Agent Tests (SATs) and have proved that they are as brilliant and clever as we already knew they were.
They are all superstars!
A big thank you to Retford leisure centre and Derek the dolphin for teaching us about water safety!
We now know how to stay safe during the hot months when we may be at the beach or local swimming pools.
Children can recognise flags used to indicate safe zones and know how to stay SAFE: checking their surroundings, listening to advice, staying with friends and calling for help in an emergency.
A big thank you and congratulations to Maxwell (and his brother Alfred) for winning a competition where he designed a new dinosaur for the book 'Who will you meet a dinosaur street?'
His Robotosaurus is phenomenal! Although I'm not sure if I would want to meet it - very scary!
A big thank you as the copy of the book which he won for school has been enjoyed by many of our children and it turning into a school favorite!
We are very proud of all of our year 6 children for the commitment demonstrated during this week’s Key Stage 2 SATS. They have shown true resilience as they have faced each paper and have tried their best from start to finish. The sheer effort and dedication that they have all shown in some of the toughest years this country has faced has been outstanding. We have been blown away by their perseverance and how far they have come in just one school year. They are all superstars!
Parents evenings for all classes will be on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th May.
Appointments can be booked via the online booking system, details of which have been emailed out to parents.
Join us for our annual egg rolling competition at 1.15 pm followed by our Easter assembly on Friday 1 April 2022.
We look forward to seeing you!
Thank you to all of the children who dressed up and donated to Red Nose Day this year!
Here are a few of our Heroes!
